Lighthouse

Chorus

I was drowning in the sea

All alone

Just my thoughts and me

I was drowning but I couldn’t see

You were my lighthouse

Shining on me

You were my lighthouse

Shining your light on me

Every day was a struggle

But you wouldn’t know

A smile on my face

And a nod for hello

Behind the eyes

Told the story

Of the agony and pain

But not the glory

Days were shorter

Nights were long

Just four walls and me

I tried hard to keep strong

A glimpse of hope

Along the way

But the darkness came

And the light blew away

Bridge

As time passes, we see the gold

And now it’s my turn to take a hold

As I stand here before you

A different man

Surrounded by light

I’m becoming a better man

The demons I control

They haven’t gone away

You’re the lighthouse in my life

You shine on me every day

Lost Luggage

Chorus

Going around and around

On the carousel of love

I just want to be found

Left in a corner without a name

All alone in a crowd

Just want to be found

Just want to go home

Life was moving fast

Came crashing down

Hiding behind the mask

The face of a clown

Thoughts in my mind

Unable to talk

A long road ahead

But Now I can’t walk

Bridge

I keep you happy for a while but then you move on

Laughing and smiling then the feeling has gone

You played a game

You stood out in a crowd

I wanted love

But it wasn’t allowed

Another excuse

Time ticking away

Another chance gone

An English Rose

A single flower so elegant

Moving like a ballerina

Attracted to the beaming sun

Living life like a true believer

A beauty that lies beneath

Inner strength so unwavering

Standing out in a flowering field

A bluebird softly singing

Immaculately presented like no other

Every piece carefully sculptured

In life’s museum – a masterpiece

Universally cultured

Each petal a symbol of love

Falling at a matrimonial feast

Wrapping it’s arms around

A beauty to the beast
