Stereotypical

There seems to be unwritten rules

Of what men and women can do

If we are to move on in our society

We need to change this point of view

Apparently women shouldn’t play football

Some people believe this is right

They don’t have the technical ability

Those people have a very short sight

A man in nursery you must be mad

Surely there is something wrong

What will the parents and children think?

His fatherly instinct has to be strong

A single mum bringing up her brood

We think we know how they’ll turn out

How are they all model children?

Her pride and love you can’t doubt

We often see the role before the person

And that blinkeredness informs our mind

We need to give others a chance in life

Otherwise we may as well walk around blind
